I'm not against absurdity – I cheered when Chris Redfield punched a boulder in Resident Evil 5, and RE4's fever-dream plot is iconic. But those games still had a core premise that made internal sense. I'm not asking for perfect realism; I'm asking for storytelling that respects the franchise's balance of sci-fi and horror.
